  • About this Coffee: Las Lajas micromill and estate is located in Sabanilla de Alajuela in the Central Valley region of Costa Rica. It was established in 2005 by Oscar and Francisca Chacón, who are third generation coffee producers. Their experimentation with processing led to some exciting new flavor profiles. The Chacóns are among one of the first farmers in Costa Rica to produce honey and natural processed specialty coffees. Las Lajas micromill continues to put their focus on variations of honey and natural processes. This micromill processes coffees from several family farms that are separated by lots. In total, 38 hectares of land are divided into several parcels, each of which grow various shade tree species and create unique micro-climates. The aromatics of this micro lot present themselves as a bouquet of fruits. The cup has deep cocoa characteristics, while the finish is full of peach syrupy sweetness.
