  • About this Coffee: In 2004, Angela and her husband started Finca Buena Vista. The farm is located in La Fundadora in northern Nicaragua. After her husband’s passing in 2012, Angela and her four children continue to oversee all farm activities. Keeping it a family business. The farm has had gradual growth over the years and is producing 175 bags of coffee per year. Angela’s farm has been working within Mercon’s LIFT program since it was first launched. This program provides valuable tools, training and services to coffee farmers and coffee communities. In 2019, Angela built a wastewater treatment plant. This addition minimizes the farm’s carbon footprint and improves the sustainability of the coffee processing operation. Her attention to quality and commitment to sustainability has made Finca Buena Vista a model farm where LIFT training sessions are conducted. This coffee’s journey has virtually involved an all-women supply chain. We are delighted to celebrate all women’s achievements in coffee. We found this coffee to have notes of honey, toasted almond and black cherry.
