  • About this Coffee: Facundo Madrigal is a third-generation coffee producer with a degree in International Business. He is part of a family that is deeply rooted in coffee farming. The Madrigal family’s journey began in the 1970s when Facundo’s grandfather planted their first coffee trees in the San Lorenzo Zone of Tarrazú. Over the years, they’ve grown to establish three farms and launched their own micro-mill, Doga Coffee, where they process their own coffees and those of neighboring families. The Madrigal family places a strong emphasis on gender equity and sustainability. Facundo’s mother, Francine, was one of the first farmers to join Bean Voyage, a feminist organization that supports women producers with training to improve coffee quality and access to markets. In 2021, the family’s micro-mill introduced a new eco-friendly depulper designed to eliminate water contamination, a step that aligns with Facundo’s goal of achieving carbon neutrality certification.
