  • About this Coffee: Jose Ovidio Flores Landaverde, also known as Don Ovidio, has a background deeply rooted in coffee cultivation. As a teenager, he worked closely with his father in the fields, until the start of the Salvadoran Civil war in the late 1970s interrupted their routine. Two years before El Salvador signed its peace accords, Don Ovidio started his very own coffee farm in the Alotepec-Metapan region. This region is characterized by its mountainous terrain and high altitudes, making it a prime location for coffee production. During the first five years of operating the farm, Don Ovidio and his family conducted all tasks manually, this included operating their coffee depulper by hand. Over time, he has improved the quality of his coffee and begun to experiment with different processing methods.
