About this Coffee:Finca La Fortuna is owned and operated by Delmy Regalado. Delmy’s love for agriculture is rooted in her family history. Her great-grandfather started growing coffee in Ocotepeque with the focus on producing high quality coffee.
Delmy served four years as President of the Honduras Chapter for International Women’s Coffee Alliance. The IWCA operates in 27 different countries and its mission is to empower women in the international coffee community to achieve meaningful and sustainable lives. In addition, Delmy leads Beneficio San Marcos, an exporter in western Honduras.
This organic honey processed coffee was handpicked and delivered to the wet mill where the cherries were depulped, leaving mucilage and parchment. The coffee was then laid to dry on raised beds for approximately 15-20 days.
In the cup we taste cocoa, toasted marshmallow, and hazelnut.
Our roastery is 100% powered by 65 solar panels with an oxidizer that filters out 96% of the particulates from the roasting process, making us one of the greenest coffee roasteries in the USA.
