  • About this Coffee: This coffee is a blend of peaberries from 4-5 washing stations that serve smallholder producers in the southern region in Tanzania. Processing the cherries can be a challenge to farmers in this region and many of them choose to deliver their whole cherry to centralized washing stations. While a normal coffee cherry contains two seeds, peaberries are the result of a unique deformity that naturally occurs within coffee cherries that forms a single rounded seed. Peaberries are estimated to make up around 5 –10% of a harvest. They are usually sorted and separated during the post-harvest process. This is a lovely washed processed coffee. In the cup we experience juicy green grapes, passion fruit, and a crisp clean finish.
