  • About this Coffee: La Esperanza is located in the town of Cipresales and has been owned by Francisco Morales and his wife for over 40 years. Throughout the years, they have achieved remarkable growth in their business, which has also created job opportunities for many individuals living in the area surrounding their farm. This coffee is the result of Francisco and his son Elmer's hard work, with Elmer managing the drying process. They take great care in processing the natural coffee to ensure exceptional quality. After the coffee cherries are harvested, they are placed in clean water to separate the immature cherries from the ripe ones. Soon after, the mature cherries are placed on drying beds located inside of an enclosed structure. The drying beds are arranged in three levels and as the coffee dries the coffee is turned regularly. Furthermore, Elmer rotates the beds to ensure even drying. This process lasts 12- 15 days until the coffee is properly dried.
